In 2016, about 62 million Americans believed Donald Trump was going to pay off the debt in eight years and grow the economy by 4 to 6 percent.

He ended up adding about $8 trillion and GDP growth hit 4 percent in only one quarter.

This time around, it appears about 76 million people bleev Donald Trump is going to reduce the debt.

There's this DOGE-boi who fights climate change by building electric cars. Trump supporters hate electric cars and climate change fighters. And they especially hate taxpayer dollars subsidizing climate-fighting products.

But Trump has decided to appoint this DOGE-boi to reduce our debt, to a position outside the Senate confirmation process. What the 76 million voters don't seem to know is that any spending cuts or abolishing of government agencies requires Congressional approval. So you basically have a taxpayer-funded boondoggle circle-jerk with DOGE-boi.

More good times ahead.

You don't have to predict the exact number our debt will be at when the next clown is sworn in. You can if you wish. Or you can just predict the direction. Up, down, sideways.

I doubt much of a dent will be put in it. Hopefully it will remain the same if not go down a little.

the deb hasn't lowered since Ike. and that wasn't by much. Bubba had a chance, and blew it,

It will go up under trump the same as it has under the majority of his predecessors.

why would you even start such a ridiculous thread?

The new Americans recruited and or manufactured by Democrats need LOTS of free shit…eradicating 50 million brown cocroaches is going to be costly…We’ll be $40T in debt for sure…I can’t wait!

Trump will leave office with the country worse-off than when he took office.

Again.

Voting for a Republican for president is the definition of insanity.
Biden increased it more than Trump did.

is it time to vote 3rd party?

The debt has a life of its own now. Money used to be our servant, but since the advent of consumer credit it has become our master. :dev3:

Because tens of millions of rubes believe Trump and the Republicans are fiscally responsible, and that DOGE-boi will cut $2 trillion from the budget.

Zero in the new books .
Cannot readily compute how the new owners of ex -America will handle matters with BTC at over one million .

Also depends on when California thankfully falls into the ocean .

In 2020 Progressives were stalwart in their anti-Trumpisms. Let us add a Department of Karma/Revenge. We can even turn it into a TV/Movie event. Imagine as an example Joe's family having to fight a selection of illegals who will citizenship as a reward in a death fight. Televised for all to see. Interest you? The ratings will be through the roof! So many people qualified for Karma/Revenge.

Any other time, I'd take a swing at making an extrapolation for the hell of it.

But these are uncharted waters, and the whole goal of this group of zealots is to make the waters absolutely as fucking stormy as possible, and to break shit up.

"fucking stormy", no pun intended.
