Conversely, the Fed said inflation was transitory, something that turned out to be a lie.

Considering the two and their track records, I would go with Trump over the Fed any day of the week.

The Federal Reserve, in a direct slap to Trump's face, decides to hold interest rates steady. They are well aware that Trump's beloved tariffs will lead to inflationary price increases, that we are already seeing. Besides, they know full well that Trump does not have a clue who actually pays the price of tariffs; it's the American consumer, not the country exporting the goods we buy. Those massive cruise ships with thousands of staterooms, hundreds of suites, dozens of restaurants, an aqua theater, a showroom, an ice skating rink, basketball courts, an interior shopping mall with 20 stores, etc., etc,, cost $1.5 billion by comparison.
