Lake Erie. Ontario, Canada with US states of Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York on its southern and easternmost shores and Michigan on the west.

My city is right on Lake Erie but Canada has more to do with our coldest weather. We do get lake effect snow though.

The warm lake, actually. Until the Great Lakes freeze in the winter (they didn't this year) water vapor over the lakes fuels cloud formation.
