This is a hypothetical situation, it is far fetched at this point and is based on the premise that Trump decides to use military force on Greenland. I will acknowledge that Trump’s use of military force in Greenland is very slim at this point notwithstanding Trump not taking it off the table.

This is the possible scenario.


Trump uses military force and attacks Greenland.
Denmark and their NATO allies come to Greenland’s defense.
So far the conflict is confined to Greenland.
Russia seeing the chaos and war in Greenland decides the time is ripe to go into the Baltic states or Poland.
Europe mobilizes to confront Russia.
China seeing that the US is preoccupied in Europe launches an invasion of Taiwan as they decide to seize the moment.
The Asian War than expands to the Koreas.

WWI was started was less.

Once you start down the path of conflict who knows where it will end up. Chaos controls. All we know for sure is that the world order established by the US after WWII will be over as will be the Pax Americana, which is already in the ER if truth be known.

If that fails or is denied. America demands full national access for bases and moves 25,000+ soldiers there, aggressively starts purchasing land at a record rate with the objective of de facto control of the nation via land mass and population filling the nation.

No shots fired. No official control of the island, at least not yet. Then continued negotiations will occur with a different scenario.

If America ever did go into Greenland, I cannot see NATO going to war, though they would take a strong economic stance and pursue UN etc. Apply continued diplomatic pressure.

Russia going into Poland under such a situation would work for the U.S, even moreso if China went into Taiwan as it would justify all the Trump had warned about and then it would be "East vs West". Indeed, WWIII.

Without Venezuela, Iran, Hezbola, ISIS, Sudan, Syria, and Cuba, then Russia is too weak to mobilize after suffering 35% loss to it's energy infrastructure. They could probably threaten nuclear strikes. If they do, China will finish absorbing the rest of Siberia. The kremlin would be left to live in a frozen swampland until the next thaw cycle (30 - 40 years from now) with no heat, food, timber, or minerals. And without western technology of any kind. They would be cut off.

Taiwan would be a terrible loss for western society, but it isn't the territory we are afraid of losing: it's the Philippines. Can anyone count? The Islamic front taking over the southern islands is sponsored by who? Subic Bay may be a good investment opportunity, having been well maintained by the good people there.

As hard as it is to swallow, North and South Korea are not that far apart. K. J. Un has played an honest and respectable hand in the region. While South Korea caves to CCP, the North stays independent and respectful of borders.
