If you had been the person on that stretcher who needed an extra hour to get to the hospital by ground transport, you might would disagree. Otherwise, not that I have heard of as of yet other than I think 1 person was arrested for lasering an ICE helicopter earlier last week.

A Portland Antifa blog has announced that at 9 p.m. on Oct. 11, they plan to organize a laser attack to try to crash a federal aircraft flying over the ICE facility. Antifa plan to gather at multiple locations across the city and deploy lasers in an attempt to ground all "spy planes." This will also serve as a distraction so other militants can take more "daring actions" elsewhere in the city. The Department of Homeland Security announced on Sept. 30 the arrest of four criminal illegal aliens for conducting laser strikes on airborne helicopters in an attempt to blind aircraft personnel. Lasers have also been used to cause injury to federal officers, both during the current ICE occupation and during the BLM-Antifa rioting of 2020. https://archive.is/IB1KK

That the light from the laser hits the aircraft, also can get into the eyes of the pilot, making flying very difficult.

Were people to be shining lasers into the sky, the pilot would probably make the decision to not fly in that area as it would be dangerous.

No, if you laze an aircraft it can blind the pilots for up to several minutes. This is dangerous for not only the people on board, but those on the ground.
