London has always been a melting pot, there are areas where the Irish immigrants settled same with the Jews who are to be found in places like Golders Green and Stamford Hill, many South Asians live in Southall and Hounslow, Afro Carribean people settled in Hackney and Shepherds Bush and a couple of other areas, the ethnic make up of London has always evolved and probably will for some time, many European Cities are the same, much of it down to our Colonial past.
