Oh I disagree - there clearly was a scorched earth policy against Obama and it started the day a group of Republicans met during his inauguration and decided they were going to "make him a one term president" and oppose every bit of legislation he attempted. And they did, even when it was things they had formerly supported. It continued after he left two terms, with the deliberate dismantling of everything with Obama attached to it - regardless of whether it was good or bad, and even if they had nothing to replace it with. THAT is certainly scorched earth.

Then you would understand that Mary Louise Kelly is an extremely respected journalist - very professional, and not one to go outside the lines. There are plenty who could be fairly criticized but she is not one. That is what makes this compelling.

The other thing is - this is just one more time when Trump supporters jump to the defense of all things Trump and them shred the character of the person in question. It's unreal. It's why I say "talking points".

I've listened to her for years. She's respectful, professional, does her research, asks good questions. Both she and others confirmed that her topics (Iran and Ukraine) were pre-approved (as is typically done in these sort of interviews) with Pompeo's staff.
