As I reject "I get my jollies from punishing the poor, who are clearly evil and lazy because they're poor" smarmy moralizing, I reject such stupid restrictions.

Common sense decides.
:icon_rolleyes:

That's not how the government works. It is very corrupt.

The government has never given good nutrition advice before. It's given horrible advice. What makes you think it will start giving good advice now?

I forgot about that. Yeah, he wanted to micromanage the food we ate and the proportions.
Now the Trump admn is micromanaging everything :auiqs.jpg:

'Reckless and out of touch': National parks ordered to remain open despite staffing pandemonium.

'It's micromanagement at its worst, creating more red tape when park staff are already stretched dangerously thin.'

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, DEI was micromanaging. Anti DEI just reverses the micromanaging that was already done.

DEI? Few people ever heard of it unless they watched FOX and swallowed wingnutty media. Then the 2024 campaign ran with it while hiding what was coming with PROJECT 2025 -- and Musk -- Maga Micromanagement on Steroids

YOU guys invented the term and wrote it down in policies everywhere.

Another case of the industrious being forced to pay for those who don’t try and want to spend my money for their bubblegum

Biden certainly heard of it. He said that Kamala was a DEI hire

Is "punishing the poor" not having the taxpayers pay for shit food?

Irrelevant, impractical, and meaningless.

  • Shit food, healthy food, the SNAP benefit is the same, so it saves the taxpayer not one dime yet you keep evading that issue.
  • Who gets to decide what shit food is? Cola? What if the cola is sugar free? Candy bars? Candy bars are mostly chocolate, so are you going to ban all chocolate? So now SNAP will not cover flavored instant coffee? Ice cream? Sweetened juice? Deserts? Cake?
  • Shit food is just another name for most all processed food, prepackaged food. But what if you are medically dependent on that because you cannot cook? What about high calorie food? Fattening food? So now we are banning frozen pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, peanut butter, donuts, cakes, the list is endless. Meanwhile, both the government and the retailer must absorb the cost of creating and managing a system to differentiate.
  • Then another question arises: are you going to exclude all these things from purchase through SNAP while allowing criminals, rapists and murders in jail access to these foods? What? Murderers have more rights than a disabled person?
Remember, none of this saves the taxpayer one dime and probably has little/no impact on the health of the individual or their healthcare 90% of the time, but leads to the next question: if this is good or worthwhile for SNAP recipients, why not the general population?
