If I call a hyena a hyena and the hyena calls me a hyena ... only one of us is right.
jack they think they are right....the point is both parties called each other the same things and many times accused each other of the same things.....more alike than they would acknowledge...

The dems actually ARE those things.

This just really struck me, watching a pundit on the teevee. He said, "the American people just want their leaders to work together". All the other panelists nodded in agreement, as if to say "well, yeah, sure, we all know that".

I've said it a zillion times myself. Now I'm not so sure. It's what I want personally, but as far as the country goes, maybe I'm/we're wrong.

I'm not asking about you, personally. I'm asking about your perception of the country overall.

Does America want its leaders to work together, or do they want one political force that overwhelms its opponent?

Yes.

Work together to reverse stupid, damaging left-wing policies.
Work together to help American workers, not illegal aliens.
Work together to stop harming children, stop harming female athletes.

After you called us "garbage", Nazis, fascists, racists, and sub-humans, no, we don't want to work with you.

In order for two 'opposing' ideologies to be able to cooperate there either has to be COMPROMISE or a solid platform(Constitution) to follow. Ideologies are nothing more than religions also known as belief systems. The problem with compromise is it leads to violations of various individuals belief systems that are offensive to the individual on both sides of the compromise. That is WHY compromise leads to "endless conflict"(revolution for the sake of revolution).

That is WHY a Constitution built upon INALIENABLE "INDIVIDUAL" RIGHTS(IIR) is so crucial to any society. Once IIR is compromised it's tantamount to a ships hull being holed, if not quickly repaired the ship will continual flood until it sinks with a with a very realistic chance of a massive loss of human life. The statist left's power & control(PC) religion/agenda is NOT based on America's Inalienable Individual Rights as can plainly be seen with their "war" on both our 1st/2nd amendments to our federal Constitution. The statist lefties work in their power & control(PC) agenda with 'compromise' then try to expand on the 1st step with more compromises to follow until one IIR after the other has become impotent. Americans are well aware of the statist left's fly by night/deception, come in under the radar mode of operation but this time they have really exposed their one world without borders power & control agenda that caused them a major setback politically within our America.

It all depends on how "working together" is perceived.

I'll answer "yes" based on the verb "working". I classify too much of what goes on in Washington and much of the political topics presented on these boards as happy horseshit. They're just sophomoric games on par with my dad can beat up your dad arguments. The biggest wastes of time are most of the congressional hearings and their bias conclusions. Back during Trump's first term the Congressional Democrats came across to me as especially childish.

By no means am I taking "working together" as meaning unified in thought. I just want these folks in Washington to get down to business and knock off the partisan games.
