Yeah, let's see - Bush was in power for 8 years. President Obama has been in there for a little over 1 year and 3 months.

How could anyone think that Bush's messup would still be hanging around now?

Because it's Obama who brought the unemployment up to double digits.

Also, over a year is some time now. It's about time he take responsibility for his own fuck ups.
For 2 months and St Ronnie gave us 10 consecutive months of double digit unemployment peaking at 10.8% in Nov and Dec of 1982, 2 full years into his first term. So Obama is doing much better than Reagan so far.

I am STILL waiting for an answer as to how Obama spiked unemployment....

The fact that he has threatened to tax and regulate anything that moves and/or doesn't move is enough to scare businesses to hunker down.

sheesh, clinton did not leave a horrible mess....gosh almighty.....

Yes, we had a tiny, tiny, tiny recession that began in march of 2001 and ended in november of 2001 dave, after bush took office, but can be attributed to clinton, but clinton also left president bush, with a project budget surplus as well...president bush began on better footing financially than any president in our recent history.

clinton gave al quaida ten years head start.. Yeah for clinton
Clinton wasn't even president 10 years before 9/11!!!!!!!!!

It was Reagan who gave his "freedom fighter" Osama Bin Laden stinger missiles as part of the "Reagan Doctrine." It was Reagan who made OBL a big shot among the terrorists. 9/11 was the Reagan Doctrine chickens coming home to roost.

Reagan will always OWN 9/11.

I remember somebody saying that if we didn't pass the porkulus bill unemployment would hit 7.5%

Yeah, okay.... stick to smoking pot and Xbox.

So.... we upped spending to 25% of GDP, sank the country $12 TRILLION in debt and unemployment is hovering around 18%.

Thanks for playing along kids!!!!!!!!!!!!

AmwayMike

That is far from a fact. The fact is that he has reduced taxes on the majority of Americans. But I guess you have to keep posting the Republican lie

The economy has rebounded much quicker under Obama's policies than they did under Reagans. Plus Obama faced a much worse recession than Reagan.

Not to mention having to deal with the two Bush wars....

Big government Republicans or corrupt thieving Democrats, same impact: both fail, both have to go. The only reason this nation is where it is today is because big government has failed on a massive scale over the last 60 to 70 years. Democrats have had a super majority control of all legislation during that time.

No one could tell the difference between Bush or this President, except Bush could count on Democrat support on every initiative during his term in office.

Bernanke is warning we either cut spending (as suggested for years by most Americans except RW) on a massive scale, or taxes will be raised. And guess where the bulls eye is for increased taxation? The dwindling middle class. So your point about reduced taxation for 47% of this nation may be temporarily true, but even ewe can't be stupid enough to believe this lying, corrupt President. My guess is the hammer will not fall until after November elections. If ewe need to remain gullible, a liar, or are a government worker, go believe Obama has the American people's best interests at heart.

I prefer to remain a skeptic, and the odds and facts are on my side. If Bush proposed the porkulus or health care sellout, RW would not be here in support of Obama's same legislation.

We can not count on RW for honesty, so bear that in mind.

Up to the minute reporting folks,, 31 % blame boooooooooosh 69% do not..:lol::lol:

Projected budget surpluses aren't real. I could project a budget surplus for the next 15 years. But if income isnt exactly because of manipulation of numbers or if growth isn't consistant. Or if tragedy happens, say some people fly planes unexpectedly into buildings, and the economy has some downturn, the surplus never really existed.

And we should have a surplus. We should either be refunding money to the people or paying off the debt with any actual surplus we have. It's just unsound governing to do anything else.

The two Bush wars that are now expanding and should have withdrawn our troops from and PAID FOR already........

I'm sorry....did you actually type that these wars are PAID FOR already??

I think he is saying that they should be over and no longer something to be paid for.

We borrowed all of the money from Communist China since the invasion(s) occurred. Our children's children will be paying off that debt.
