No Darlin', I didn't. I said that when Senator Obama voted not to raise the debt ceiling in 2006, popularity for the war was at an all time low, 60%.
Slow down and read.
So what the **** does that have to do with the debt ceiling vote?!? Do you even hear yourself? Your so desperate to defend the indefensible, you do the only thing you ****'n uneducated idiot Dumbocrats were taught by MSNBC to do: blame GWB & Iraq. The 2006 debt ceiling vote had
nothing to do with the 2002 use of military force vote that the Dumbocrats supported.
Barack Obama: "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's.
Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here.'' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.
I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit."
I'm sorry - I can't seem to find the part where he mentions his outrage over Iraq as his reason for not raising the debt ceiling, can you? I can however, clearly locate the part where he blames debt as a "failure of leadership" and how it "weakens us domestically and internationally" as his reason for not voting to increase the debt limit.
