A House vote on March 5 over a war powers resolution failed mostly on party lines. Republicans nearly uniformly batted it down, with the help of a few Democrats. It came after a similar doomed vote the prior day in the Senate.

It's ridiculous. I just listened to a bunch of informed opinions on this, former US commanders, senior Iranians etc.

Here's a summary of what I gathered

1. The US is getting its bases hammered and that's not being reported.
2. All Iran has to do is survive, but what is the US goal? what is US success?
3. Insurance costs for shipping through the Homuz are up by 600%
4. No US naval ships are going to "protect" shipping through Homuz, its a suicide mission, no sensible naval commander will play that game.
5. The Iranians are saying (but mainstream news isn't reporting) that if you do not shoot down these drones then there won't be debris landing on oil terminals and hotels. They are targeting specific US military targets, shooting them down is asking for chaos.
6. Israel is getting hit very hard, cluster weapons etc and the media is just not telling it like it is.
7. There was no plan, the impact of this war is huge on so many American friends but these friends were not consulted but now the supply chain mess is hurting them.
8. Huge numbers of Israelis being "called up" are refusing, they do not want any part of this.
9. Hundreds of thousands of Israelis have left Israel over the past year.
10. Israel's Zionist cult is so unhinged that if this war goes badly for them, they will use nuclear weapons to attack Iran and the US can do nothing to prevent it.

This is insanity and the US, UK, EU should walk away and not allow the insane Zionist maniacs to usher in WW3.

Israel is perhaps the greatest threat to global peace there has ever been.
