That's going to be a real problem for the Republican party. How do you distance itself from such a disaster and still save face. Running him in 2024 would be a complete disaster. The number of people leaving the " Republican " party is at an all time high, 36,000 in Florida alone and because of Trump's mixed messages about Covid the highest death rates are in 7 Republican-led southern states. Can we even call the Republican Party that anymore. Trump has already said if he's not nominated he'll form his own party. That would spell certain defeat for him and the so-called Republicans. There seems no clear path forward for them, either way they lose for now. The biggest problem is they lost their credibility. No one can build a future on lies.
