Did Jesus the Prince of Peace really say that? What verse, I hardly don't know the bible and would have to look it up.
Not exactly, not sure who said it, open to be interpreted

If GOD is the source and Jesus is GOD, makes sense?

Psalm 144:1

"Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle."

Quick Context

Traditionally attributed to King David, this verse serves as a powerful opening to a prayer for deliverance and prosperity. It captures the dual nature of David’s life: a man of deep spiritual worship and a seasoned warrior.

Key Themes

  • The Rock: This metaphor highlights God as a source of stability, protection, and immutability. In a chaotic world, the "rock" is the one thing that doesn't shift.
  • Divine Training: The verse acknowledges that physical or mental skill (the "hands" and "fingers") is a gift from a higher power. It’s a humble recognition that success—even in battle—is not solely due to human effort.
  • The Practical and the Spiritual: It bridges the gap between faith and action. David doesn't just pray for victory; he asks for the skill and preparation required to achieve it.

A Modern Perspective

While the literal "war and battle" imagery reflects the historical context of ancient Israel, many today interpret this verse metaphorically:

  • Emotional Resilience: Gaining the strength to handle life's "battles."
  • Skill Mastery: Recognizing that talent and the ability to work hard are divine provisions.
  • Protection: Seeking a solid foundation during times of personal crisis.

I don't know much about the gawd derived from Bronze Age desert superstitions but I had the impression the only record of what Jesus said was in the bible.

The Pope doesn't appear wrong in his assessment of what Jesus said. He's the only one to provide a Jesus quote. Not that the desert gawd doesn't love a bit of smiting.

30 Mar 2026"Brothers and sisters, this is our God: Jesus, King of Peace, who rejects war, whom no one can use to justify war," Leo said. "He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them, saying: 'Even though you make many prayers, I will not listen: your hands are full of blood.'"

Not Jesus, then, whom the Pope referenced.
That is why it's called a joke......and something the new pope would say due to looking woke

the pope is the only one that can give a jesus quote? LOL

well you should stop in to a southern baptist church and get schooled

Meh.

What a load.

Yet you haven't given a Jesus quote.

I wouldn't be seen dead in a Southern Baptist church.
