funny how the USA produced more oil that the saudi area now and we get oil from Canada
nothing to do with our production, it has to do with the global market
we are selling our oil now for $$$ due to demand but that also raises the price

nope, I know how it works
it's not US supply and demand, it's the world demand

they want it and will buy from anywhere they can
that alone drives up the price

big difference, if you are the seller you get the profit

if we are the seller we get the coin......well our oil companies do

good if you own marathon, oxi, exxon, chevron.....etc

I fill 700 gallons or so once a year. Get my hot water that way too.

I was in a house built after WWII, oil heat but I want to recall I had an electric heater for water
You are right though, tanks were huge and I lived in a damn cold place in the winter

heating oil being high now is not going to impact many due to season
now jack it up to 5 bucks a gallon in Nov, yeah you are going to pay

heating oil generally follows what diesel costs are, they are not that far off

In this area, they are higher. I have paid about $5.40/gal for the past 3 or 4 years.
