Wow......This situation between Di Blasio and the NYPD is getting very caustic.
Something has got to give....
In a NY Post article from yesterday, it appears the NYPD is at the beginning of a "rule book slowdown"....In other words, police officers are following every procedure to the letter.
A practice which slows service response times. Allows officers to take their entire break without interruption even if a call in their sector comes in. Allows them to take their roll call time right up to the minute instead of mostly starting their shifts early. Allows the officers to go off duty at the precise time of the end of their shift regardless of their status of their sector.
