"Five people have been arrested after they opened fire on cops in Washington DC overnight, police have said.

Three men and two women were taken into custody in the early hours of Tuesday morning after exchanging gunfire with the officers.

The cops were responding to reports of gunfire picked up on an electronic shot spotter detection system at around midnight when the attack took place."

So, your own article states, "A police spokesman added that there is no reason to believe this was a targeted attack on officers..." and you open a thread that completely twists that into the opposite. What the article describes is what cops face everyday. I'm glad the perps were arrested; we don't need folks shooting up the streets. But you know you are lying when you say there is no evidence this is not an ambush. The cops are still investigating the whys and wherefores, of course, but if they thought it was an ambush they would know it and they would have said so.

Yes, I totally agree. And we in Oregon and Nevada are currently prosecuting a bunch that were inciting violence against local, state, and federal LEO's. No matter what the color of the skin, these people should be prosecuted.

The findings revealed that when it comes to "officer-involved shootings — we are unable to detect any racial differences in either the raw data or when accounting for controls."

Roland G. Fryer Jr., the African-American author of the study and Harvard economics professor called it "the most surprising result" of his career.

The study examined 1,000 shootings, including nonfatal ones, in 10 major police departments in Texas, Florida, and California. In those areas, officers were more likely to fire their guns without having first been attacked when the suspects were white. Black people and white people were equally likely to have been carrying a weapon, but police didn’t use racial bias to dictate whether or not they fired their weapon.

There are Progressives that are pushing for Federalizing standards with the local police and this will give them effective control over everything PDs do in the future.

It's just across the district line from my wife's office where her colleague was carjacked at gunpoint by two young black females pushing a baby stroller as a cover. My wife was two minutes early of it having happened to her.
