Actually, Russian social media disinformation campaigns have been running since 2013, if not before.

Russian disinformation, social media bots and fake news is generally believed in aiding the “Brexit” fiasco. The objective for Moscow was to drive a wedge between the UK and the EU.

Similar efforts were aimed at elections in Italy, France, and the Netherlands.

So, the mechanism had already helped advance Putin’s cause when the Trump campaign was enrolled in it.

It wasn’t like Trump didn’t have plenty of Russian connections already.

We have known about this memo for years, but have not understood the oblique reference to "following a briefing by IC leadership on Russian hacking during the 2016 Presidential election" until now.

This memo has been held up as evidence of collusion between Comey, Rice, and Obama, and it's quoting Obama saying he wants everything "done by the book" as an attempt to insulate Obama and Rice from future investigations.

OK. Now we know, thanks to Tulsi Gabbard, the date of the "briefing", and we know where it happened and who attended it.

And now we understand what drove Rice to foolishly document the supposed January 5 meeting with Obama, Comey, and herself.

It was fifteen minutes past noon, 1/20/2017. Her computer was about to be turned off. Whatever plan was hatched at the December 9 meeting had failed. Trump was the President. The "Principals Committee" was dissolved. No more two hour long group meetings in the White House Situation Room. From now on, communications among the conspirators would be much more difficult, fraught with danger in fact. WHAT IF MIKE FLYNN FINDS OUT?

But, this Susan Rice memo includes only Obama, Comey, and herself. THAT'S IT!

Do a search. Durham invetigated the claim that Obam spied on Trump and tried to sabtage his presidency. So go look it up.

Actually, it does.

Indeed, the Mueller Report documents the fact that although the Russians did not penetrate state voter rolls, it wasn’t for lack of trying.

The irony is that Trump would later falsely accuse Smartmatic of doing what his Russian partners tried to do.
