Podesta Group retroactively files more DOJ disclosures for pro-Putin work

The Podesta Group belatedly filed several new disclosures with the Justice Department on Aug. 17 related to work the firm completed between 2012 and 2014 on behalf of a pro-Russia Ukrainian think tank.

Back in April, the powerful Washington lobbying firm run by Clinton ally Tony Podesta filed a document admitting its work for the pro-Russia European Centre for a Modern Ukraine may have principally benefited a foreign government. New disclosures revealed dozens of previously unreported interactions the firm made with influential government offices, including Hillary Clinton's State Department and the office of former Vice President Joe Biden, while lobbying on behalf of the center. Embattled ex-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort failed to disclose his extensive lobbying efforts on behalf of the center at the time as well.

Anyone lobbying or doing public relations on behalf of foreign governments is required to register as a foreign agent in compliance with the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The Aug. 17 filings include short-form registration statements for six Podesta Group employees and an amendment to the firm's registration statement that includes a list of political contributions made by relevant employees throughout 2013.

A review of those donations shows both parties received cash from Podesta Group lobbyists. . .

That's far fetched....Clinton has nothing to do with the podesta group not claiming foreign agent status, nor did she or the foundation collect money from the podesta group's Russian Ukrainian connection. Nor was the podesta group a part of her campaign....truly a nothing burger on Clinton, but the Podesta group did break e law on not claiming foreign agent status!

Before, during, and after CFIUS’s review, Schweizer calculates, “shareholders involved in this transaction had transferred approximately $145 million to the Clinton Foundation or its initiatives.”

On June 1, 2010, the Kremlin-owned Rostekhnologii company — mercifully, it’s now called Rostec — had great news for the plane maker: It decided to buy as many as 50 Boeing 737 jets for Russia’s national airline, Aeroflot. Reported price: $3.7 billion. That August 17, just ten weeks later, Boeing announced a $900,000 gift to the Clinton Foundation to “help support the reconstruction of Haiti’s public education system” after a massive earthquake pulverized the impoverished nation the previous January.

By 2012, Skolkovo boasted 28 “Key Partners” in the U.S., Europe, and Russia. Among these major supporting organizations, three-fifths had donated or pledged funds to the Clinton Foundation or paid speaking fees to Bill Clinton. According to From Russia with Money, an August 2016 study by the Government Accountability Institute, these 17 “Key Partner” entities donated between $6.5 million and $23.5 million to the Clinton Foundation.

Far more troubling, in 2014, the FBI wrote companies that operated in Skolkovo or backed the Skolkovo Foundation. “The foundation may be a means for the Russian government to access our nation’s sensitive or classified research development facilities and dual-use technologies with military and commercial application,” warned Boston-based FBI agent Lucia Ziobro. “The FBI believes the true motives of the Russian partners, who are often funded by their government, is to gain access to classified, sensitive, and emerging technology from the companies.” The U.S. Army Foreign Military Studies Program at Fort Leavenworth concluded in 2013: “Skolkovo is arguably an overt alternative to clandestine industrial espionage.”

They are not going after Manafort for simply failing to report he was a foreign agent or Flynn for that matter...

They are looking in to a quid pro quo between Manafort/Trump campaign and the Russian government, AND whether Manafort was money laundering for the Russians.

So why shouldn't they investigate Podesta/Hillary for the same thing?

Uh, because the Clinton Foundation took in almost $200M thanks to Podesta's ties to Putin maybe? BTW, Podesta never left the Russian bank...he just put his shares in his children's names.....something you despise Trump for doing with his legitimate businesses.

5 years later?

Exactly what is Mueller & the FBI harrassing Manafort FOR, or FLYNN even when APPARENTLY, you can file new Disclosures and Amendments to previous statements & disclosure documents even 5 Years after the fact?

Can someone explain this to me? Podesta is not under investigation....because.........while Manafort is.....because.......

Being able to file amendments to these forms and disclosures 5 years later makes any of this Investigation as to whether or not you worked on behalf a Foreign Government MOOT!
