The fact that she uses it as a support system to not drink makes you think she is being a superior person. To end an addiction one must learn to hate what they once loved.

I had to do an intervention on her. She was suicidal, and I had to stop her, and then called the cops. She went to rehab for a year and a half. I took care of everything. She came out of it, like Jesus the Savior, trying to save my butt! I'm like, what?

I guess it's a normal thing to come out of there like that, but it has been years, and she's trying to turn my daughters against me. So I'm pissed off, and she's banned from my life. My daughters hate her. I wish it wasn't like that.

It's a legal substance well regulated and relatively cheap. Nothing like a sixpack on a hot day. The Feds (so far) have allowed states to regulate their own alcoholic beverage laws and sometimes they conflict. The Commonwealth of Va. sells hard liquor only in state run stores but you can buy beer and wine in grocery stores. North Carolina regulates alcohol sales by county. In Arizona you can buy hard liquor in a grocery store. Federal laws that prohibited making beer and wine were in effect from the 30's well up to the 60's and today it's still against the law to own a system for distilling alcohol (a still) and it's against federal law to distill alcohol even for personal use even though the devices are readily available on Ebay.
