What I do see is yet another attempt to stop Trump from being as successful as he has been. Well, aesthetically it is just ugly. And it makes no sense. The White House has been called "The People's House", does a giant ballroom dominating the landscape seem appropriate? Do I give a shit about porta-potties at State functions, well yes, actually, not a good fit, so have the event at a FLIPPING HOTEL or convention center.

But the biggest problem is that ballroom is nothing more than an open call for corruption. Privately financed, that is not a good thing. Companies and individuals will donate money but they are certainly going to want something in return. That is going to cost taxpayers far more money than if we just flat out paid for the ballroom.

So, when Andrew Jackson was inaugurated, well he threw a party at the White House, it got ugly, fast. The guests looted the place and had to be lured outside with ice cream and whiskey punch. The People's House was looted by the people. But now, well the people are being looted by the People's House. I mean that is as clear as I can put it, and it is spot on.
