Fallacy of the Loaded Question ^^^
You don't even know what that is, Wry. Stop trying to sound smart. You aren't. Answer the question.
Probably the better fallacy is this:
Appeal to a Lack of Evidence(Argumentum Ad Ignorantium, literally "Argument from Ignorance"): Appealing to a lack of information to prove a point, or arguing that, since the opposition cannot disprove a claim, the opposite stance must be true. An example of such an argument is the assertion that ghosts must exist because no one has been able to prove that they do not exist. Logicians know this is a logical fallacy because no competing argument has yet revealed itself.
Complex Question (Also called the "Loaded Question"): Phrasing a question or statement in such as way as to imply another unproven statement is true without evidence or discussion.
Mea culpa, I took logic my sophomore year at CAL, 1966. In the future I will check my statements for accuracy.
Citing logical fallacies in lieu of an actual position is simple deflection. You are appealing to lack of evidence by having NO evidence.
It's not my job to prove the statement of others. I've made my positions very clear.
1. Libertarians are ideologues and stuck in a box of ideas, with no concept of how they might work in a nation the size of the US. Their platform completely rejects pragmatic solutions which conflict with their dogma.
2. Republicans have made avarice into a virtue, when once it was a deadly sin. They have rejected the principle of a social contract and cherry pick ideas from the Enlightenment to suit their personal needs.
3. CU has put the last nail into the coffin of our once democratic republic, we have made the transition to an Oligrachy of the Rich and Powerful an appears to me to be a 21st Century version of fascism.
4. The Great Threat to Capitalism isn't Communism or Socialism - it is the greed of the capitalists and the power elite. They should have learned from OWS.
5. Education is the cure for a nation's malaise, and can mitigate most of its ills.
6. Government creates jobs, as does the private sector.
7. Jobs will cure many of the nation's ills.
8. Wedge issues and "ain't it awful" dominate the right wing rhetoric
9. The War on Drugs is a failure
