I was watching the newest Hunger Games movie just last night. I didn't even know he was in it until then. It only made the movie that much better.

Philip Seymour Hoffman Dead at 46 - ABC News

American actor and director Philip Seymour Hoffman has died. He was 46.

The Academy Award winner was found in his Manhattan apartment at 35 Bethune St. in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan this morning morning, according to the New York Police Department, which is investigating.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.

Hoffman won the Best Actor Academy Award for his leading role in the 2005 film "Capote."

I'm not usually the type to care about celebrity deaths, but he may have been one of the greatest actors of our time. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Capote was amazing.

He was just damn good in everything he did.

But I mean EVERYBODY is covering it. All the big media. They would confirm before running a death hoax as truth.

For the longest time he was one of those actors who was a scene-stealer, but nobody knew who he was. He was "that one guy". He gained a lot of recognition for his role in Capote, and has been an A-list actor ever since. I'm just glad he gained the recognition he deserves before he passed.

Very sad. He was a genuine actor, as opposed to most of these 'stars' who just show up and play their one-dimensional selves in every part.

Even wikipedia has him listed as dead. If it's a hoax, a lot of people have fallen for it.
