Don't know him myself, but they have been picking good actors lately.
 
He's been around for a while, did some episodes of Torchwood back in '09. He's done a lot of voice work and British television, a few movies.
 
You guys understand that we are uber nerds, right?
 
He does look the part. I actually saw him in the BBC version The Three Musketeers as Richelieu, just didn't know the name.
 
It could work.

Of course, he'd be the oldest actor to play the role since William Hartnell.

Incidently, in "World War Z", he played a charcter called W.H.O. Doctor. (World Health Organization). Coinciidence? I think not!
