Los Angeles Times Daybreak Panel inadvertently tapped into the "Forgotten Voters," who were not "Likely Voters," since that had rarely voted in previous elections. That was Trump's base. New York Times shows that Democrats voted Clinton. Republicans voted Trump. Independents voted Trump-Pence.

Election 2016: Exit Polls

For certain, the Republican Leadership hates the President now. For certain, The Republican Leadership hates the President-Elect. The President-Elect is government and international relations inexperienced. The President-Elect is business, (outsourcing(?), like to China(?)) experienced.

The new United States Cabinet is most likely the new leadership of the New Free World alliances going forward. Trump will likely delegate most of his administration.

First, let's be clear. Trump is the Republican leadership now. I am not sure if the old Republican leadership will hate him. Afterall, these guys are slimy politicians and he has given them the POTUS. That's something they couldn't do themselves (McCain, Romney). I think he will more likely be embraced. It's like the great player who plays for the other team. You hate him because he is good, he's cocky, and you always lose to him, but when your team signs him, he is the greatest guy in the world.

Trump had no major coat-tails, other than from his running-mate, the FBI Director. More is owed to the FBI then to the Vice President-elect. "Lock Her Up" created energy, post October 28. LA Times went to Trump Up 5, almost immediately. It went to Trump up Two, just last Monday. It had been Clinton up 1. The election day report was Trump up 3, Clinton thought by the panel: Likely to be the winner. These were an isolated bunch of voters, likely as surprised as was everyone else by the outcome. They had been "Forgotten" by everyone, and not taken into much account by anyone. They were there, and didn't know it.

The USC/L.A. Times poll saw what other surveys missed: A wave of Trump support

Now the LA Times is less embarrassed, but USC admitted from the start that it had made a mistake in assembling the panel. It is probably the same as the mistake other pollsters made. The usual less likely voter drops out way before election day. The less likely voters had been found by the Trump campaign. And for its part, the Trump base was thinning before October 28, but went up in support virtually immediately in the days after October 28--and for Trump.
