Somebody at my business the other day started screaming and yelling about income inequality and stuff like that.
My response to him was this..
If you lived soley on what your rights are...
1. You would be living IN the inner city, IN a senior and disabled GOVERNMENT OWNED Apartment building.
2. You would not have a car at all, period..
You would be using the public transportation system.
3. You would have Virgin mobile, Co-Op'ed through Assurance wireless a.k.a the "Obama Phone" NOT an Android or Smartphone.
4. You would not have a television at all.. your access to the TV would be in the PUBLIC parlor, inside the government apartment building.. and it would have PBS and the weather channel that's it....
NOT fox, NOT Cnn, NOT Espn.
5. You would be getting your clothing from Goodwill or the Salvation Army, NOT a true store that people think of as a store.
6. You would be getting your healthcare from the DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, and some stuff from the American Red Cross whenever they give it to you...
NOT a private clinic.
Dental care though MEDICAID... Not an insurance company.
7. Your food would come through the salvation army, food stamps and the public food pantry... NOT a private supermarket or a grocery store.
8. You would be getting your education from the DEPARTMENT OF LABOR... the Job Corps (age 18 and older)
NOT college at all.
9. NO cigarettes, NO alcohol.
That's your rights.
Because your rights, are a LONG WAY SOUTH from where most people in America stand.
These are childrens rights.
1.To not be abused.
2.To have habitable housing, food that is "fit for human consumption" and clothing.
3.Medical care provided by the Government.
4.An education provided by the Government.
5.To have competent parents, IF they live with their parents, which they don't have the right to.
That's the rights that people under the age of 18 have.
And all but number 4 is also a long way south from where most kids are raised.

You don't have the right to income equality.
Your right to equality is legal only, not economically.
And your rights are not exactly what you seem to think they are.... they are not based on your culture, they're based on bare bones necessity in order to survive and have a mere glimpse of hope.
And if you think there are no people in America living on JUST exactly what their economic rights are... you're badly mistaking yourself.
