People are questioning whether Biden actually resigned or was the victim of a coup

Seriously, what a mess, as less than 24 hours earlier Biden tweeted he was going to win. Then, on X, he tweets he's dropping out from the race for the nomination.

Then, it took about 30 minutes for another tweet saying he backs Kamala Harris for the nomination.

For something this momentous, Biden should have asked for TV time to make a public statement to America, to all of us. Crickets.

Where is the President?

For now, I'm taking at face value that Biden has withdrawn from the presidential campaign via a tweeted-out letter, with the promise of a live statement to follow.
However, a surprising number of people believe that, considering how consequential Biden's statement is, a tweeted-out letter suggests a coup rather than a voluntary resignation. More than anything, this reveals how the Biden administration has destroyed all trust in the government.

The second, roughly 30 minutes later, at 2:13 p.m. Eastern Time, finally endorsed Kamala:

The whole thing is peculiar, aside from its uniqueness in American political history. What's appeared on X, the social media site where political junkies live, is a growing suspicion that Biden didn't actually resign. Instead, many people (possibly hundreds) hypothesize that the letter was put out on Biden's behalf, forcing him to accept a fait accompli. Had Joe actually withdrawn on his own initiative, most believe he would have made that consequential announcement in person rather than via a letter. And of course, the memes are already in play:

/—-/ Was Joe pushed out of the race? Dems are pizzed.
Democrats are 'pissed off' at party leadership for pushing Biden out, CNN analyst says: 'Save those mimosas'

/—-/ I think you’re confusing resigning, as in resigning from office, and withdrawing from the race.

Nope. He is the President, he had an obligation to go on TV and make the announcement he was dropping out, as LBJ did in 1968.

They made him an offer he couldn't refuse....pretty disgusting

Yup. They won’t hesitate to throw Kamala under the bus as well. Just like they did to her in the primaries.
You have to think that Hillary and Newsom are huddling with their respective camps to try to get the nomination. The Dem Convention may well end up a civil war. Just for the honor of losing the election to Trump.

And what they are doing is ignoring the American voter in all this. They have complete disdain for America, and thus Americans, and a handful of leftist elites will decide who the Dem nominee will be.

And they call OUR side the threat to democracy!

And after such a momentous announcement yesterday, he never even made an appearance. They probably beat him up so bad (figuratively) that he was too shaken to appear to the public.

I’ll never forget the look of that guy (can’t remember his name) who was the lone hold-out on the Obamacrap vote, and “leaders” took him behind the curtain to “talk with him” - and when he emerged he announced he was voting to support it. His skin color was GREY. And that was how a normal person reacted. A person with dementia could be left in a state of delirium from that type of stress. (I’ve seen it happen.)

The only people doing that are the Trump cult members

It’s going to be fun watching the Left continue to disintegrate while throwing each other under the bus. They jump from one delusion to another. What these knuckleheads don’t seem to understand is that Trump already had a good enough lead going into the debate, and it was because of the way Democrats have been destroying this country the last four years. Making Biden the scapegoat will not make a difference, whoever ends up being the candidate will lose to Trump, big league.

Now the MAGA are unhappy Joe is not running.
/----/ We didn't want Joe to drop out and disenfranchise the democRAT voters. What an attack on democracy.

And we certainly don’t want the Elite Left - Obama, Piglosi, Schumer - instructing the delegates as to whom to select as the Democrat nominee and cut their 75 million voters out of the picture.

There's a reason this announcement was made on X and not live TV.
I don't know what it is is, but my bet is the DNC doesn't want it made public.
The most transparent Administrstion in history. NOT.

The incompetent DEI pick as the SS Chief is about to testify in a few minutes, and I imagine she will be as equally transparent about keeping SS agents off the roof because the 5% pitch was too steep, and instead leaving a perfect shooting platform and clear sight-lines for a sniper intent on assassinating President Trump.

/---/ LBJ was a horrible. miserable president, but he had all of his marbles.
