Western Civilization/culture/values largely emanated from the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations. Judaism contributed monotheism and Christianity introduced the concept of individual worth to modern Western Civilization.

The "origins" of Western Civilization came from today's Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt and Turkey - and those in turn came from Central Asia and the Black-Sea vicinity.
Today's Western Culture - was predominantly formed by the Roman Church and from 1650 onward by the Enlightenment period.

I didn't know that Dubai was part of the Greek or Roman Empires.
