peace proposal : 50% of Palestinian lands conquered by the Israelis given back, and halting of the settlement expansion.

Here's an interesting short talk by Israeli historian Ilan Pappe, about what Gaza actually was and is, its quite enlightening:

I just looked because I can see your are in a difficult personal situation, and there are quite a few posts of mine already in here, some talk about civilians, I just don't know what exactly you're asking me.
you condemn Israel for killing civilians without u8nderstanding they are forced to by Hamas's tactics.

Listen to the talk I posted, it's short, I learned something and I'm sure most people here would, listen to what he says and tell me your thoughts.

would that be enough for the Palestinians, i wonder?
The Palestinians have been clear for more than 100 years that they will settle for nothing less than all of Israel. There is absolutely no rational basis for believing the Palestinians will be willing to live in peace with Israel for the foreseeable future.

Why would anyone expect that? It's like asking Jews in Germany to live in peace with the Nazis if they were still in authority today, I wouldn't expect that, so nor would I expect the Palestinians to somehow behave differently.

The Third Reich had to be obliterated, wiped from the map along with its ideology and loyal devotees before there could be peace with Germany, sadly I see no prospect for peace in the Middle East until the same fate befalls the Zionist regime.

Not necessarily, there's a war or haven't you heard? Why is the US giving money and weapons to the war criminals in israel?

Unguided rockets fired at civilians are a war crime.
Gaza has done that for nearly 20 years, long before their current fuck up.

See you will ignore Hamas's war crimes because your real goal is the destruction of Israel by any means necessary but use any excuse to try to make everyone hate Israel by judging them by different criteria than you judge Hamas. Even use the ICC to do it, even though no self respecting country is stupid enough to put themselves under their authority.

One of the tactics used by ethnocratic colonial states to delegitimize the natives' struggle for their homeland is to portray the natives as an arrogant, unreasonable, selfish lot, irrationally wanting all the land for themselves, not willing to share the resources with the ethnocratic state that is slowly creating a separate society that will eventually engulf, destroy and replace the original society.

Below you can see no less than 7 super patriotic american clowns of the US Message Board using this kind of propaganda to subliminally turn people against palestinians (after all nobody likes "arrogant", "selfish" pricks):

Nothing short of the complete removal of Jews is enough for Palestinians.

The pals dont want peace

They want all of the Holy Land minus the Jews

The Palestinians have never said what they wanted short of the extermination of the Jews and Israel entirely.

Muslim/Arab neighbors rejected such in favor of attempting to wipe out all the Jews and erase Israel.

Ceding land is seen by the Arabs as weakness, not an offer of compromise.

Below you will find the american actor Marion Morrison using the same subtle propaganda against Amerindians:

PLAYBOY: For years American Indians have played an important—if subordinate—role in your Westerns. Do you feel any empathy with them?

WAYNE: I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them, if that's what you're asking. Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.

Notice how the exact same subtle propaganda is used against all natives in all ethnocratic conflicts. It's a consistent, persistent pattern that repeats itself over and over in all ethnocratic colonial conflicts, Nazi Germany, America, South Africa, Northern Ireland, Palestine... you name it.

When in reality what you have in Palestine is not an "intransigent", "unreasonable" lot but only a pathetically weak third world people reivindicating their right to move freely in their homeland without being instantly murdered for this:

I want to proclaim loudly to the world that we are not fighting Jews because they are Jews! We are fighting them because they assaulted us, they killed us, they took our land, our homes, our children, our women, they scattered us, we became scattered everywhere, a people without a homeland. We want our rights. We don't want more.

We don't hate the Jews, we only ask for them to give us our rights.

Who would Hamas make this peace agreement with?

It cannot be Israel, they don't recognize the existance of a nation called "Israel," and they want to wipe it off the map. To do that, every Jew must leave, or every Jew must die.

Then what? They would nail signed copies of the peace deal to the headstones?

why did you attack them in 1948?

And why can't you Arabs be satisfied with 50 Arab states?

We will have peace when you are all dead. The 12th imam will come to Earth bringing peace to all Muslims by killing all infidels.

No no no, we're talking about criteria for killing civilians, you talking about the specific methods of killing civilians. The criteria for condemnation has to be based on outcomes not methods, at least if we're striving to be equitable that is, are you?
On the outcome? You condemnation depends on numbers and success of an attack? So if I bomb a civilian area but only x-1 people dies you wouldn't condemn the decision to bomb civilians? That's not how law works.

Unguided rockets fired at civilians are a war crime.
Says who? The very conventions and organizations who's opinions you reject when they rebuke Israel.
Gaza has done that for nearly 20 years, long before their current fuck up.
So? they have every right, every right to resist the violent foreigners in their land.

See you will ignore Hamas's war crimes because your real goal is the destruction of Israel by any means necessary but use any excuse to try to make everyone hate Israel by judging them by different criteria than you judge Hamas. I do not ignore Hamas's terrorism, it was a brutal, violent and criminal terrorist attack, no dispute.

On the outcome? You condemnation depends on numbers and success of an attack? So if I bomb a civilian area but only x-1 people dies you wouldn't condemn the decision to bomb civilians? That's not how law works.
Yes the outcome, not the methods. You are struggling to imply that 100 Israelis killed by rockets (say) is a worse crime than 100 Palestinians killed by bombing.

There has never been a 2 state solution.
The Israeli's won't allow the Palestinian people to have their own state.
