Why is it that the Theory of Evolution is such an emotional topic for its proponents? Why is it so important to them that others adhere to their beliefs? With the possible exception of Global Warming (oops, I mean Climate Change), I can't think of another "scientific" subject that generates such a vituperative response to those who question this doctrine.
Could it be that we are witnessing a new Crusade for Truth not see since the Middle Ages? Religious zealots are, at least, honest about their ultimate objectives. Can the same be said about this new breed?
