The Houston Texans might be in for a rude awakening come Sunday’s divisional round playoff game against the New England Patriots. Used to the cozy confines of their domed home arena, it appears that they will be subjected to some challenging conditions at Gillette Stadium.

According to a forecast shared on NFL Weather, temperatures in Foxborough will be in the low 30s throughout the contest, with a wind chill as low as 24°F. In addition, snowfall is likely for much if not all of the afternoon.

I love me some snow games! :)

If it snows at all, it’s likely to be just a coating. It will be cold though.

Houston plays lock down defense. The Pats want to throw the ball. Cold and snowy would favor the Texans wouldn't it?

Ever play defense in the snow? Hard to keep your footing to stay on receivers or make a tackle. The conditions would favor who is used to the conditions.

Do you get "used" to slipping in the snow? There's some secret that the Patriots have that the Texans wouldnt? Gillette stadium is artificial turf, the footing is the same for both sides. The style of football the team plays will be bigger factor than "I live here" That said the Pats/Texans game is a 3pm start on Sunday. Looking at the weather it's mid 30's and cloudy in Boston that day with a 10MPH wind. I dont think the Texans will be worried about slipping.

BTW who's predicting this? Or is this wishful thinking in Boston?

Given that the dumbasses in the cities they play in foot part of the bill for new stadiums it's cheaper.

That and playing in the elements is how the game should be played.

Playing in places like AZ/NV is just man's arrogance.
One of the dumber takes I've seen.
