This is nothing new to Israel. The current political situation is a demonstrated outcome of the effectiveness of anti-Israeli activities from around the world. The current climate is very similar to the character of the people in the world who oppose the alliance between the US and Israel.

The "total elimination" of the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) as an Israeli Objective is probably out of reach through standard conventional strategies. It is an imaginary outcome that could only be achieved through a series of implemented measures that the UN and the Security Council have no stomach for. That is because of the overwhelming support from the general population of the Gaza Strip, and the umbilical that the Islamic Resistance has managed to establish external forces. And this could not have been done without the blind eyes of the UN Security Council.

A primary obstacle to the "total elimination" of the Islamic Resistance is found in the growth and development of the Jihadists, Fedayeen Activists, Hostile Insurgents, Radicalized Islamic Followers, and Asymmetric Resistance Fighters. History has shown that the destruction of such infestations must include the general population of the Gaza Strip. As long as the Israelis can not achieve voluntary assimilation of the general population of the Gaza Strip the cockroach-like survivability of the Islamic Resistance will never truly die.

IF the P F Tinmore Proposition is true • that being the development that would satisfy THEN that would require the elimination of the Jewish National Home before the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) is satisfied.

The Two-State Solution is unacceptable as a matter of General Principles & Policies as of 2017. That position being the Islamic Resistance position that "Palestine, which extends from the River Jordan in the east to the Mediterranean in the west and from Ras Al-Naqurah in the north to Umm Al-Rashrash in the south, is an integral territorial unit." And a consequence of this position, the State of Israel would no longer exist. The Islamic Resistance has set the goal that Palestine (as they have defined it) is to be an Arab Islamic land (official policy).

That policy rejects the Idea of a Two-State solution and replaces it by absorbing the divided territories to create a different whole (one territory dominated by an Arab Islamic Ummah) • → a group Islamic of people with common ancestry forming an undefined territory. It is apparent that the General Policy is to establish a new territory to be governed by "believers bound together with a common purpose, to worship God and with a common goal to advance the cause of Islam." This is inconsistent with the establishment of a Jewish National Home (Israel).

The long-range objective is the evolution into an ISIS-like of Taliban-like control over the expanse.

Who, outside the Islamic Radicals, wants this outcome?

It just tickles me how incapable our friend "P F Tinmore" is at participating independently in the discussion. P F Tinmore, like so many willing associates who cooperate with Hostile Arab Palestinians (HoAP) (pro-Arab Terrorist Palestinians, and the common anti-Israeli Arab criminals and consorts) regurgitates social media propaganda along the same lines as "Aljazeera" → or that some organizers of the pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli protest movement promote rhetoric from Hamas or the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and HoAP that promote the same general principles for continued conflict, and positions that resist negotiations for peace. Similarly → financial contributors, and prominent/notable personalities that lend their names to pro-Conflict positions and the destruction of Israel are involved in violations of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (CCPR).

Article 20​

1. Any propaganda for war shall be prohibited by law.​

2. Any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence shall be prohibited by law.​

All peoples (including the Israeli people) have the right of self-determination RS-D). The RS-D is not exclusively applicable to the HoAP (the HoAP being the criminal party in the current outbreak of hostilities).
