The party with the power is the only one that can negotiate? No. It could have happened, but the actions of the Palestinians of late have pretty much closed that door.
But of course, that is all the fault of the Israelis and the Jews, right?
It is always the fault of the negotiating party with the power.
Not so.
Of course it is. The party with the party is the only one that can negotiate. Try buying a car from a dealer.
You can't negotiate a good deal for yourself with a car dealer - as a metaphorical example?
Rubbish.
Good (and great) deals are worked-out all the time, from the consumer's 'inferior' position...
When you've done your research, and know what the dealer's likely bottom line is, and when you wait until the marketplace timing is right, you can work wonders with price reductions, and get a very good deal for yourself.
But you must possess the intellect to conduct and analyze that research and reach realistic conclusions...
And you must possess the cognitive power to recognize what constitutes good timing...
And you must possess the right combination of aggression and collegiality and humility and flexibility and good faith and realism to have yourself seen as a viable and reliable negotiating partner...
And you must possess and manifest nerves of steel at critical milestones in the negotiations, and good judgment as to what you can push for, and what you cannot, at those critical junctures...
All of which rules out the Neanderthals we laughingly call 'Palestinians'.
