The world was given the impression Israel was going after Hamas , not all Palestinians

Meanwhile as Hamas uses Palestinians as human shields, Israel is looking for OUR support, as every terrorist org in the M.E. is siding with Palestine , out manning and out gunning them substantially.

Israel exists today because of the US. Our vote in the UN was the key in its founding. Eisenhower would have voted "nay" (probably, although he was repeatedly misled by our own CIA, which led to decisions he may have lived to regret) but Truman voted "yea." In 1973, we literally had US pilots ferrying US F-4's with mid flight refueling, and repainting flags on the planes as soon as they landed in Israel, and we had cargo planes bringing in munitions to replace what the IDF lost early on. IF not for that, Sharon doesn't lead his tank column towards Cairo, which required Egypt to accept a cease fire, and return to status quo, and setting the stage for an Israeli-Egypt "peace."

So, yes, the US has a dog in the fight, no matter whether we like that or not .... and personally I'd let both sides just gnaw on each other for eternity, but that is not the reality today.
