I found the dialogue to be pretty reasonable on both parts. The young lady admitted that she was nervous and she made a valid point that the two of them are much more "worldly" and accustomed to "being in the spotlight" than college kids.

I also noted the hostile male comments and carousing in the background which can be intimidating for women especially one trying to speak in an environment where one realizes they are at a disadvantage.
