The decline of the middle class has been going on for decades

Cool story, show the actual numbers.

What is the definition of middle class?

Let's hear what the commie twit Thom Hartmann uses for a definition.
The middle class may be said to include the middle and upper levels of clerical workers, those engaged in technical and professional occupations, supervisors and managers, and such self-employed workers as small-scale shopkeepers, businesspersons, and farmers.

I don’t know what is in Hartmanns head. Besides him, this is a topic covered by a broad range of people across the political aisle. And as we have already seen the Numbers show that the middle class has dwindled significantly in the past few decades. Perhaps a part of the discussion is the downfall of the nuclear family, the fact that we have a lower percentage of young homeowners today, compared to the past. Of course folks have differing reasons as to why we are in such a situation.

On tonight’s Tucker Carlson live stream dedicated to Charlie Kirk He actually showed a segment or Kirk was talking about this issue …. young people and the economic problems the face. It was quite interesting. He sounded like a traditional Democrat in that vein. Besides Kirk there are countless scholars who have talked about the economic challenges that young people face today that did not exist 40 years ago. Professor Scott Galloway has brought this up like for example University tuition is way higher today compared to the past. The negative aspects of social media perhaps playing a role.

Anyways, if you don’t like the term middle class if anybody doesn’t like the term, if people don’t think that it is a sufficient or worthy discussion that’s their opinion that’s fine. But again it is a term used across the political aisle. There are countless studies and Polls showing the middle class has dwindled in the past few decades.

Without numbers, this definition is meaningless.

I don’t know what is in Hartmanns head.

He's a whiny commie.

An undefined term, in this case.

I’m not sure what route you’re taking in this thread. If you’re not interested in the discussion or don’t think it’s worthy that’s completely fine. That’s your opinion. This is the last thing I suppose I will leave you with.

Not for nothing
That's not a definition.

I'm interested in the claim........

"the US Middle class has shrunk from 65% to 45% of the countries population"

How does the author prove his claim without using income to define
poor, middle-class and wealthy?

It is the greatest issue of our time. The well-being of the citizenry …Well what could be done about this. Will anything be done about this? Will the middle class continue to shrink in the country. Whether people blame the right or the left for the shrinking of the middle class… will we see the middle class actually get stronger in the future?
The middle class hasn't declined. It just looks that way in comparison to the super rich. In reality, all boats have risen.

Ask a demofk what they have to help middle class

China stole your nation.

THe MSS will go down as the most successful and ruthless in such a short period of time. They focused on all out war against America and celebrated their foreign entanglements as they stole the manufacturing from America that once kept America in the global drivers seat.

So explain how EU has managed to to keep higher middle classes...

The China Boggie man is just a distraction... It's a scam like trickle down economics...

Think about it logically, a bunch of rich guys (or people working for rich guys) told you it is better for you to let the rich get richer by paying less taxes and receive more subsidies... Think about that one.

Your nation sold out FAR more than the EU. You were the leading manufacturing nation on earth, 40% of global output, now it's something like 23%. You lost 90,000 factories.

America was sold out and China was happy to encourage it. The Communists want to win.

Now show the income levels for lower, middle and upper income
in all those countries.

Tariffs and bringing back production will help.

One issue that interestingly enough, Charlie Kirk and Cenk Uygur from the young Turks have agreed on is the housing crisis in America. And this was brought up on tonight‘s live stream by Tucker Carlson. Carlson interviewed Cenk where are they talked about the things that Charlie Kirk and the traditional left agreed on.

what we have today are corporations buying up homes all over the place. And so what it does is artificially drives up the price of homes. It’s a big-time problem and something that is against the traditional vision of America of the 20th century with the young couple buying a house…. raising a bunch of kids …the parents having a strong middle class job(s). It’s all but disappeared in America today. This is a huge part of the discussion when it comes to the downfall of the American middle class.
