I’ve already explained. In your example, either you’re guilty of speeding and lose your license, OR you’re not and don’t get a punishment.

It would be a big deal if they WERE allowed to vote.

Their franchise is removed upon conviction. Until they are convicted though they are still eligible voters.

Why give someone who claimed to be a non-citizen the right to negate my vote? I said I was a citizen on my jury form, and had to wake up at 6:00 a.m. to get to the Courthouse by 7:45 a.m.
