This is a completely incomprehensible phenomenon. Ukrainians speak a dialect of Polish, and are separated from Poles as recently as the Partitions of Poland in the 18th century.

Prior to this, the Hetmanate, which was supported by Moscow and the Ottomans, broke away from Poland during the Khmelnytsky uprising. Later Serbian colonies were founded there.

I do not see any other potential force that could work for separatism between the Polish and Ukrainian people. It was in their interests to proclaim the colonized lands "their country".
This suggests the conclusion that this is the Hetmanate and ethno-Serbian settlers.

What other versions?

Historically, the people of Tork used to live in the Hetmanate, this is apparently the reason for the support of Osmans and the very name of the region.

They were connected or were the same as "Berendei", perhaps the consonance is not accidental.

As long as you will believe in this unscientific nonsense, you will have no clue in elementary questions.

What is unscientific about this? It's based on facts.
What is your version?

By the way, modern Bandera people like to emphasize their continuity precisely from the ancient Russian state, and not from the Polovtsy, who inhabited about 80% of Ukraine at that time, and not from the Khazaria, which had the main power there.

Basically everything. Putting the sign of equality between the Ukrainians and Poles, in particular.
No, I was talking only about native Ukrainians. These are Poles(Polovtsi). In addition to them, Muscovites, Turks, Serbs lived there in the hetmanate, and Don Cossacks lived in the Donbass. Tatars lived in the Crimea, and still live.

So what is your version of the origin of Banderism?
