Why is she suspended and not fired outright?

You guys are treating your government workers like ours now. One useless SOB mismanaged and outright lost $1B and the province tried to fire her until she said she would sue, she kept her job! Police are charged with serious crimes and are suspended with pay, benefits and pension for over a decade while they go on vacations. it's ridiculous.

Get rid of riff raff and useless idiots. You want the best and brightest representing the people, not this garbage.
