as I said,, you are free to run for office and change the system that seems to offend you so much,,

but I doubt you will because you would rather whine like a ***** on the internet about it,,

beings this is your thread makes you the blowhard not me,,
You are telling us that members of congress are above criticism except by other members of congress

But that only works in the old Soviet Union and china

Definitely. All thanks to MAGAts, and her "I'm the craziest dipshit on the planet" act.
I wonder how members of congress from both parties compare with their predecessors from 75 years ago in education, Integrity, and character

Not very well i suspect

How much do Congress members get in pension
ChatGPT said:

It depends a bit on how long they served and under which retirement plan — but here’s roughly how much members of the U.S. Congress can get in pension. Congress.gov+2EveryCRSReport+2

✅ Pension eligibility basics

  • Congress members become eligible for a pension once they have at least 5 years of service. Congress.gov+1
  • The pension amount is based on:
    1. Their “high-3” average salary — that is, the average salary over their highest three years. EveryCRSReport+1
    2. The number of years (and months) they served in Congress. Congress.gov+1
    3. An accrual rate (which depends on which retirement plan they’re under — either Federal Employees’ Retirement System (FERS) or, for older members, Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS)). Congress.gov+1
  • By law, the starting pension cannot exceed 80% of their final salary. EveryCRSReport+1

Example of how pensions are calculated
  • Under FERS (for many modern members), the accrual rate is lower (often around 1.0–1.1 % per year, depending on age and service). Wikipedia+2EveryCRSReport+2

So, with 5 years service, MTG would get 5% of $174,000 or roughly $8,700 per year when she reaches 57 years old

Are you equally concerned about the pension benefits of Democrats?

Definitely. All thanks to MAGAts, and her "I'm the craziest dipshit on the planet" act.
Is she as crazy as the idiot who thought Guam was at risk to capsize?

Is she as crazy as Jasmine Crockett?

Is she as crazy as the Democrat who referred to himself as Spartacus?

You are making a fool of yourself

Have you just returned from a trip to Mars and share no blame for anything during the past 50 years?

considering no one I have ever voted for has won until trump and that I have been trying to warn people about the uniparty since the early 80s I dont feel or share any blame,,

it does however sound like you feel some blame and are trying to push that off on other people like youre doing with this thread,,

and we all know thats a typical leftist tactic,,

Guess what Skippy?

Every member of Congress gets the same
Roughly one percent of salary for every year you are in Congress

Marjorie claims battered spouse status and says she cant abide.

But Marge didn't care about abuse of the law.

Marge didn't care about abuse of executive power.

Marge didn't care about abuse of arrested immigrants.

Marge didn't care about abusing judges and the courts.

Marge didn't care about abuse of the free press.

Marge only cared, once Marge got abused.

PAY:
Congress is the Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS).

The receive:
  • Average of High Three Earngins years.
  • Earn 1% per year of employment.
  • Multiply the average of the earnings by the percentage derived from years.

[($174,000 * ) / 100 ] * 5% = X
[($174,000 * ) / 100 ] * 0.05 = $8,700

She will be able to receive $8,700 a year starting at age 62, which is about 11 years in the future.

HEALTH INSURANCE:

FERS retirees are eligible for Health Insurance if they have 5-years of service and the retirement annuity begins within 30 days. Since her retirement annuity will not start for 11 years, she wouldn't be eligible for continued coverage under FERS.

THRIFT SAVINGS PLAN:

FERS eligible people all receive the same benefit. Contribution equal to 1% of base pay plus up to a maximum of 4% addtitional to match the members own contributions. 5% as we saw above happens to be $8,700 maximum per year. We have no idea if she's been making a contribution.

WW

It is a slap in the face for the government to make us pay for extremely generous FERS government pensions instead of going to more cost effective retirement plans such as 401K that virtually all private sector companies have adopted.
