Oops......FCC commissioner claims Harris on ‘SNL’ violates ‘equal time’ rule

FCC commissioner claims Harris on ‘SNL’ violates ‘equal time’ rule

(The Hill) — A Federal Communications Commission (FCC) commissioner has claimed that Vice President Harris’s recent appearance on “Saturday Night Live” violates the “equal time” rule.

“This is a clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC’s Equal Time rule,” Commissioner Brendan Carr posted on the social platform X Saturday in response to a post from The Associated Press about Harris being on the show that night.

“The purpose of the rule is to avoid exactly this type of biased and partisan conduct – a licensed broadcaster using the public airwaves to exert its influence for one candidate on the eve of an election. Unless the broadcaster offered Equal Time to other qualifying campaigns,” Carr, a Trump appointee, continued.

Kamala Harris appears on ‘Saturday Night Live’ as mirror image of Maya Rudolph

The FCC’s “equal time” rules let rival candidates ask for equal air time.

:oops8:

Crooked Kamala is flaunting the law again.

I hope she sees the other edge of the lawfare sword as she is personally responsible for this.

Maybe gin it up to a felony.
Great, about time someone other than Trump broke some rules and walks free :auiqs.jpg:

I think Harris’ appearance on SNL last night will be enough to push her over the top to steal victory from Trump.

Instead of attacking our Capitol on Jan 6 like last time, Republicans should attack Rockefeller Center for stealing Trumps victory

I have absolutely no problem with privately held corporations that are traded or owned privately, doing this.

If you do? Then the real problem is institutional investment corporations that own everything. You want to end this type of technocratic fascism, you need to support the FTC breaking up the Vanguard, StateStreet, BlackRock cartel.

MY REAL PROBLEM? The obvious bias of NPR and PBS receiving government funds since they no longer have even the pretense of being equal and fair.

One side should not be forced to pay for the other side's propaganda.

Wow that must be frustrating.
Probably about as frustrating to the left, as when they saw how many views Rogan got.

I don't doubt that more folks watched the Rogan interview than they did SNL.

SNL has not had the same cultural influence it used to have, for nearly two decades now.

Harris wasn't offered equal time to ride around in circles in the garbage truck. Who broadcast that? Time to pull their license too.

People love a trainwreck.

Neither do I. Again. People love a trainwreck.

Yet here we are discussing SNL.

PS: Rogan wishes he was on SNL.

I doubt that very much.

If you have that clip, where he says he wishes he could, go on and post that, I'd be interested in seeing it.

I have seen his interviews with Jim Breuer & Shane Gillis. Likewise, he, like most comics absolutely loved and revered Norm.

What SNL has done to all these folks? Shows the show does not really give a shit about comedy, only pushing propaganda.

The show went to shit after they fired Norm.

LOL...

Sure. Rogan, Maher, etc... say something wacky every six weeks or so to get mouse clicks. Its all about attention. You’re really thinking Rogan wouldn’t want to be on SNL? LOL...okay.

Link?

Not doubting you, just curious.
Oh, that's an easy thing to look up.

Just go to the resource that tells us who is getting paid by the institutional investors' propaganda network.

You’re really thinking Rogan wouldn’t want to be on SNL?

No, not really. I am sure he would love to do SNL if he could do it on his terms.

If they wouldn't allow that, then no, of course not.

. . . and we both know they wouldn't.

One of Rogan's biggest influences was Hartman, he knows how that system works.

I heard Trump offered to pick up the cum dumpster at the end of his route.
