If you weren't so ignorant you would know that it is the Democratic Party, not Democrat.
To Mertex: I scored again!
Some years ago, I refused to encourage the notion that the Democratic party represented democratic ideals. Ive been calling it Democrat party ever since. Over the years Ive heard public figures and media people say Democrat party. Every time a halfwit objects to my usage I know I hit a home run.
Obviously it doesn't take much to amuse a nit-wit. If that makes you feel like you've scored a home run you must not have much of a life.
To Mertex: Youre a sick man on top of being a halfwit. You obviously need help because you cannot see that socialism/communism is no different than Nazism/fascism. Ill simplify it for your diseased mind. Democrats advocate totalitarian government while conservative Republicans are fighting for a return to the limited government the Founding Fathers gave us.
Now I know I'm dealing with someone who doesn't know much but likes to participate even though all he can offer is the parroting of talking points made by other half-wit politicians whom he thinks are great - such as Palin, Bachmann etc., (the list is long).
First of all, I'm not a man, and far from being sick. Just sick of listening to the hyperbole from butt hurt Republicans who can't deal with the fact that they've lost the Presidential election twice (they thought their negative comments were going to convince Americans that Obama was inept) but the people are smarter than these extremists who don't offer anything beneficial to the country, and beat them up again because Obama is 100% better than the Doofus we had before and the clowns they've offered up twice.
And Facism is the opposite of Socialism. Only someone who doesn't understand what each stands for would make such a ridiculous comparison and shows that they are just repeating what they heard apparently from someone that is as uninformed as they are.
Those who try to equate fascism and socialism, or speak of the two in one breath, show appalling ignorance of politics and history.
I know, I know, there was the Molotov-Ribbentrop monster pact of 1939, when the Nazis and the Soviets tried to collaborate. And yes, Nazi means National Socialism. But dont be mistaken: Fascism/Nazism and Socialism are each others opposite: The former is on the Right, and latter on the Left. And the distinction between Right and Left remains very meaningful, today in America as much as it was in 20th century Europe.
1. Fascism is an expression of middle-class discontent.
2. Marxism and other forms of Socialism are expressions of lower-class and working-class discontent.
3. Hitler was brought to power by Fascism.
4. The Russian Revolution was Marxist.
5. Fascism is nationalist: The Nazis were vehemently opposed to internationalism. They quit the League of Nations.
6. Marxism and Socialism are internationalist.
7. Fascists believed that God was on their side.
8. Marxism is atheist.
9. Fascism is militaristic.
10. Fascism is racist.
11. Fascism is homophobic. Before his onslaught on Jews, Hitler exterminated the gays.
12. Fascism is for traditional family values (Only three roles for women: Kinder, Kuche und Kirche).
13. Fascism is cosy with the conglomerates. Remember Krupp, Siemens, IG Farben and all the other corporations that supported the Nazis.
ARE FASCISM AND SOCIALISM THE SAME?
So, you have it all wrong, which is no surprise.
To Mertex: Nor do they want to. Nor do they try to silence opposing views the way Democrats do. The Fairness Doctrine (1949 - 1987), brainwashing children, politically correct speech, and punishing students at every level for politically INCORRECT speech and activities have been Democrat party mainstays throughout my adult life.
Ha,ha, obviously you don't listen to your own party's loud voice. Who is the party that is trying to do away with Abortion? Who is the party that didn't want DADT repealed? Who is the party that wants Photo-id for voting (at the expense of Americans, which amounts to a poll tax, something that is against the Constitution. There is no such law punishing anyone for incorrect speech - you all just don't like to be criticized when you go racist on people.
To Mertex: That should be more than enough time for the public to finally see the Chicago sewer rat for what he has successfully hidden up til last November. Heres a clue:
More hyperbolic rhetoric which doesn't amount to anything other than your racist, biased opinion which apparently is not in agreement with most Americans as Obama has a good performance rating - whether you like it or not.
. . . what I predicted at the beginning of the Obama presidency has now happened: that in a second term, he would promote to the front rank those who were so extreme and so dangerous to the well-being of America and the civilised world that in his first term, so as not to frighten the horses, he would keep them in the lower ranks out of sight.

Again, according to yours and other super hypeerbolic conservatives and their twisted way of thinking, which is not supported by the majority of Americans, so again FAIL!
Parenthetically, long before the 2012 election I said Hussein would not get the usual grace period if he got a second term. Score another one for Flanders.
Another false victory given to yourself by yourself, which doesn't count for anything except to yourself, and based on the lack of knowledge you have displayed, I think that is about your speed.
Oh, by the way, you need to learn how to operate the features in this Forum. You don't have to say "To: Mertex" - if you use the quote method appropriately, it will be evident who you are speaking to. Of course, it may all be too hard for you.
