Just as a non-hostile observation, the o.p. seems exceptionally reasoned and non-provocative from this poster. It is not, therefore, in order to be argumentative to state that, rather than trying to save the bankrupt Democratic Party, what America needs is a new, centrist party that leaves behind the current leanings of the two dictatorial parties that have taken over the governing of the nation.
Personally, my impression is that there is as much "far right" as "far left" in the U.S., but actually very little of either compared to the reasonable "center".
