What adds to the challenges is that there are only two runways - a straight north-south one and then a secondary one that comes across at an angle. ATCs, trying to manage so much traffic, sometimes ask the pilot aiming for the primary runway to make a turn and line up for the secondary one. It’s a lot of late maneuvering in such a busy approach.

My prediction is that one of two things will happen: either they’ll close the secondary runway (which will make Congress critters scream) or they will block all helicopter traffic within a certain radius of the airport.

I also think they will review how whites had their applications summarily dismissed on the basis of their race and thus the ATC has been understaffed.
