Will there ever be another white NBA player of Bird's caliber? He and Magic made the NBA must see TV in the 80's, and Jordan did in the 90's. Since then, this sport has been largely dead to me. I would love to see Luka be as good as Bird, he is the Great White Hope.

Bird was certainly fun to watch! I don't think there will ever be another like him. Best "no-look" pass in the history of basketball. He played basketball in the way it is SUPPOSED to be played! Just watch this and marvel. Bird was the best assist man ever never afraid to give up the rock. Not like today's ball hogs.


Magic Johnson was if not equally good a very close second.
