Trump appears to have a problem with museums showing history. I guess teaching slavery is now woke indoctrination. So now he is attacking the Smithsonian.

On The Smithsonian and Slavery: Trump’s Whitewashing of History

On Tuesday, President Trump attacked the narrative long taught in US schools and documented in museums, about the abhorrent, centuries-long practice of slavery. He focused on The Smithsonian Institution, the world-renowned center of learning and culture based in Washington, DC.

Trump wrote on his social media platform, “The Smithsonian is OUT OF CONTROL, where everything discussed is how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was.”

“How bad slavery was.” It is simply unbelievable that such a statement could be uttered by a president in 2025. Yes, slavery was bad, President Trump. It was evil and remains a stain on this country. We should never stop talking about it.

Let's talk more about the greatness of America for our kids and tourists to see. You don't see Japanese museums with displays of Tojo.

So long as the whole truth is told of how their own brothers, cousins, and other black neighbors, in Africa sold them into slavery and that the first slave owner in the colonies, who was black also, sued to keep his black indentured servant as his slave.

:)

What does that have to do with how bad slavery was?
Well, it could be distraction from the Epstein files and the US support from most Democrats and Republicans of the racist war in Gaza. That’s the real racism occurring in the modern era in front of everybody’s eyes and yet there’s really no response to it by many Democrats with exception to a few when it comes to this Jewish racism. Slavery in the USA was bad, but Africans played a role in it and also black Africans owned upwards of 1 million white slave so all of this needs to be talked about by the Smithsonian. But again I think a lot of this is a distraction

The largest voices against the war in Gaza are coming from conservatives or libertarian’s like Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, and Glenn Greenwald and Dave Smith. There are the young Turks, but again most of the influential criticism is coming from the right.

You don't want the whole truth about what happened in Africa, and the first slaveowner was not back. Do not post that story about Anthony Johnson that used Lewis Haydens picture

Because you couldn't take picture in the 1600's,

Funny Democrats never felt that Slavery was bad, in fact they fought to keep it using it despite the facts. Then they supported the KKK, segregation, antisemitism, eugenics and abortion...

You can stop trying that disingenuous bullshit, white man. Go study the Corwin Amendment. Republicans didn't end segregation. Republicans have been antisemites, supported eugenics, and have had abortions.

Sure, 150 years ago. As always, if you can identify a current Democratic politician who supports slavery, I'll join you in running them out of politics.

Indeed..., The Corwin Amendment was introduced during a time of intense national division over slavery, just before the Civil War. It was seen as a last-ditch effort to appease Southern states and prevent secession. Despite its passage in Congress, the amendment did not stop the secession of Southern states, and the Civil War began shortly thereafter. Ultimately, the amendment was overshadowed by the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment in 1865, which abolished slavery.

As long as they feature prominently that it was "Whites" who freed them.

How prominently do you think they stress that the Democratic Party was the Party of slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow black codes, lynchings, etc.? Probably not in the least.

Stressing slavery as the central art f American history is just what leftoid swine would do. It ended 161 years ago, with terrible casualties in the Civil War.

The leftoids never stress the good of America, all the massive good of America, Why? Because they want to tear America down, as they have long hated her and the Constitution.

The Smithsonian is a Soviet-like institution.

This is @janehamptoncook, author and columnist. The Smithsonian asked her to write an article about women's suffrage. She chose to write about Susan B. Anthony.

When she sent her work to the Smithsonian, they sent it back asking her to describe Susan B. Anthony as a RACIST. She refused and lost the writing gig.

Susan B. Anthony was an abolitionist who was against slavery. At the beginning of the Civil War, she gathered thousands of signatures from Americans, calling on President Abraham Lincoln to abolish slavery.

The Smithsonian is not telling history, they are Distorting History!

Are you wanting a fair representation of slavery or just looking for something to use against your political opponent? Nobody I know has a problem acknowledging the democrat's stand on slavery back then. Why is it such a problem for you?
