On The Meaning Of "imminent."

In the context of Trump's attack on Iran, consider the following as suggesting the nation of "imminence.'

1. The regime has stated its policy toward America.a

2. I has cused untold numbers of US deaths and casualties.

3. Iran has a missile program now capable of some 2,000 miles....certainly not a defensive program.

4. It is engaged in adding missiles that reach 10,000 km....or about 6,000 miles....about the distence to NYC or Washington.

5. Iran has admitted to having 460 kg of 60% uranium.

6. It takes days to enrich to weapons grade 90%

7. That would make 10-11 nuclear bombs.

8. This regime has shown no qualms about murder and torture.

9. It worships the 12th Imam and looks happily for worldwide conflagration.

10. What would be the benefits of waiting for Iran to be the North Korea of the Middle East????

The problem is that "Imminent" has never been any standard by which this nation defends itself.

It is an absolute, single-digit IQ person who thinks we should wait until they have nukes and their finger on the button before we act to defend ourselves.

Is stage 3 cancer an imminent threat or not? Apparently because stage 3 cancer won't kill you tomorrow, it is not an imminent threat to your life. Better to wait until it's stage 4 to be sure it's an imminent threat.

Now, technology- missile technology- has obviated that protection.
