The Chinese New Year and Great Wall of China are expected to be included in the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
The Ceremony on February 4 2022 falls during Chinese New Year celebrations, otherwise known as the Spring Festival.
According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua, Beijing 2022 head of communications Chang Yu said the Great Wall of China will also feature.
Chang also serves as deputy director for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies - Beijing 2022 established a department dedicated to preparing for the Ceremonies.
"We aim to deliver a unique Opening Ceremony that invites people from all over the world to share the joy and excitement of Chinese New Year with us," Chang said.
"A good Opening Ceremony plays an important role in successfully hosting the Games and building the country's image."
