Billionaires (Trump & Bloomberg) oligarchy vs. Socialism (Sanders) vs. fascism (Trump & Cruz) vs.progressive (Clinton).

Those are the most realistic possibilities at this point. This is the most radical extremist election in U.S. history. Which direction will this country go?

Conservatism is not even a choice this year. There are no conservatism candidates with a chance at this time.

I find it hard to call trump and cruz "fascist". Trump is a nationalist IMO

Most countries are combinations of those ideologies with capitalism.

A democratic republic will win, why liberals want to lose so bad is beyond me.

Fascism is socialism……try to get it right……..Trump and Cruz are not socialists…….sanders and hilary are………

Proggressive is a way to lie about being a socialist….

Why read a dictionary when you can make up your on definitions of fascism and socialism and progressive. It's really fun for you to be a moron, huh.

Life is not easy for any species on the planet. A certain amount of sacrifice and hard work is required and still does not guarantee success or easy road. It still does not stop many from trying to find that easy path at the expense of others.

So you were not really looking for an honest discussion, just a platform to be a hack, I see.

One could argue that our current government (and any government that comes out of the next election) will always contain elements of all of the above (and of course, Capitalism).

For those who will tolerate a poker metaphor, the "wild card" is the willingness of the United States Supreme Court to permit socialist elements and innovations under a Constitution which forbids them. Thus we have a Federal government which operates a compulsory national retirement program, various national health insurance programs (though not a "universal" one), and dozens of laws and regulations (e.g., the NLRA) which the Federal government is forbidden to have, under the Tenth Amendment.

The more interesting question to me is, Which candidate will try to move the Federal Government closer to the paradigm that is established by the Constitution? And of course the answer is Ted Cruz, but IRONICALLY, he personally has a Constitutional cloud over his head, since he is not, technically, eligible to become President.

DG is correct! Say whatever you wish, but as long as we followed the constitution, we were the best place on earth to be. The more we move away from it towards European Socialism, the more our lead dissipates, and in fact in some instances, falls behind others.
