Oklahoma’s Superintendent of “Education” will require Bible Study in all Public schools.

Also, there's no reason a school can't have a Bible in every classroom, but then expect religious books from every other faith too.
Yup. Fine with me. Are you sure that’s what you people want?

The Bible along with the Quran, Satanic Bible, Pastafarian Commandments, etc.

You people always seem so incredibly short-sighted about putting Christianity in school. Assuming it holds up in the courts, it’s going to have the exact consequence you describe, which is fine with me. Is it ok with you?

I don't know who you're talking about. If you go look at my comments on the 10 Commandments you'll see me arguing with several fellow conservatives. First, I think it's frankly stupid to post them in schools. What's the purpose? Second, it may be unconstitutional, but I think without Chevron, Congress might have to get involved. I don't know.

Putting God in schools sounds great to them because they’re too stupid to realize that God will be joined by Allah, Satan, and the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Well, I am telling you that maybe now that Chevron's gone, the states can do this until it crosses a very bright constitutional line. There are court rulings saying that religious matters can be addressed in school as part of curriculum, as long as it's not presented as protolyzing and it's fair. I would presume those previous rulings would be enough to quell the OK State Supt, but I'm not sure anymore. I mean, I'm not a lawyer and I don't pretend to be an expert on things I'm not. Imagine that on a message board

We’ll see. I think we both expect to see some goofy deities displayed right next to Jesus. If that’s what your fellow conservatives want, sounds good to me.

A lot of my fellow conservatives are frankly generationally pissed off. This is what happens in a cultural earthquake like we're seeing now. Not just political. Cultural.

Well, I just deleted what I was going to say. We'll see how it pans out, but this might be permissible since Chevon is gone--what I mean is, the establishment clause says "Congress shall make no LAW" establishing a religion. If the bureaucracies can no longer shade that? I don't know.

Personally at any rate, I feel everyone can benefit from God's Word

It also means they can make no law preventing a state from establishing one as well. It also didn't prevent govt. funding religious events. Thomas Jefferson allotted Federal funds for Catholic missionaries more than once, and he was a favorite candidate of the Baptist and Methodist sects, hardly groups that would endorse an atheist. Again, it restricted the Federal govt., not the states and local govts. All the Feds can do is withhold Federal funds, which of course many school districts are addicted to, and it really can't even legally do that, but does threaten anyway.

Yes, we get it; next these schools will think they don't have to promote sexual mutilations of children and telling them letting faggots rape them is a bad thing, and that really has you commies getting hysterical. See pages 4 and 5. PDF file for those on phones.

That could be a Tenth Amendment case, I don't know.

Why do all of these liberals give a flying **** about one of the fly over states, Oklahoma? Don’t like it? Don’t move to Oklahoma

15th post
It won't pass SCOTUS, sounds like they're doing it to agitate, much like states passing gun laws they know will get struck down.

Welcome to the blowback from the Pride/trans/DEI stuff the left has been foisting on public schools for decades.

Better to get Pride/Trans/DEI equated with religious instruction and get it banned from schools, but that's just me.

I wish these Liberals would apply just an ounce of the fire and brimstone they have at the 10 Commandments in schools within the Bible Belt towards inner city schools’ literacy and math aptitude rates. In Baltimore City, the literacy is 29 percent performing at the national proficient level and 10 percent performing at the proficient level for math.

The Liberals control all of these inner city schools and can keep the 10 Commandments out with no effort. Control what you can control and don’t worry about schools in rural and southern states. Get those proficiency levels up! You have plenty to worry about.
